IWRC Basic Wildlife Rehabilitation Course
February 15-16, 2018

Course Description

A two-day introductory course with lecture topics that include: intro to wildlife rehab, basic anatomy and physiology, handling and physical restraint, thermoregulation, stress, basic shock cycle, initial care andphysical examination, fluid therapy, standards for housing, zoonoses, euthanasia criteria and release criteria.

Wildlife Rehabilitation: A Comprehensive Approach

An indispensable resource for all rehabilitators of any experience, this newly published book from IWRC is
included in the price of the two-day class, along with Minimum Standards for Wildlife Rehabilitators.

Includes a half-day lab to practice techniques in: gavage (tube-feeding),
physical restraint, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, physical exams,
limb immobilization and weighing.

earns 15 Continuing Education Credits)

Cost is $205.00 for IWRC members and $260.00 for non IWRC members.
